Chand (Preity Zinta) leaves her home in India and moves to Canada after marrying Rocky. Her husband is bogged down with responsibilty that involves his mother, sister, brother-in-law and their two kids. Unable to cope with the pressures, he vents his frustrations out on Chand, who silently suffers the humiliation. Until she meets Rosa, who decides to help her out.
