Rahul (Bijay Anand) goes to India on work leaving behind Sanjana (Kajol), his fiancée. He falls for Nisha (Kashmira Shah) a girl whose main asset is her money. Sanjana decides to follow him in order to win him back. On the flight she meets Shekhar (Ajay Devgan) who plants a stolen necklace in her bag. In his search for the necklace that somehow goes missing Shekhar decides to help Sanjana win back her love, little knowing that he is susceptible to her charms. She falls for him too and with the help of benevolent Inspector Khan (Om Puri) keeps him from the clutches of law, while teaching the greedy Rahul a lesson or two.
