ISHQ (Romance) is the story of four friends; Ajay
(Ajay Devgan) son of rich tycoon, Raja (Aamir Khan) a
poor car mechanic, Madhu (Juhi Chawla) daughter of
rich businessman, and Kajol (Kajol) also a poor girl.

Ajay's and Madhu's rich parents have made plans to
marry their children into rich families. But, as fate has it,
Ajay falls in love with Kajol, and Raja with Madhu.
Against their parents' wishes they declare their love
and the four declare to marry. Initially, the fathers are
furious. First they challenge them and when
unsuccessful, they manipulate the sitaution by creating a
rift between friends.
